Science Olympiad is an after school parent run program whose primary goal is to bring fun, hands-on science lessons in order to prepare a team of 15 LCE students to compete in the Los Angeles Regional tournament. The regional tournament is a rigorous academic interscholastic competition consisting of events in various science disciplines - biology, earth science, chemistry, physics.

In order to prepare for the tournament, we will offer two sessions of classes. Class size is limited to the first 25 students that enroll.  Enrollment in the sessions is not mandatory, an informal competition will be held for all LCE students for consideration for the team.

Selection for the team will be based on student participation, test scores from the classes, and evaluation at the informal competition.
