Flu Shots are available to LCE students and their families. Children must be accompanied by an adult.

Note from the LCE Health Office:

The health office is busy receiving student medications, dental forms, and first grade physical forms. We'll look forward to getting lots of volunteer TB screening results turned in after the Verdugo Hills Hospital screening on August 29th. Just bring your results to the health office with your child/children's names listed at the top of the screening form.

LCE students are doing a great job wearing sunscreen, hats, finding shade, and staying hydrated! Way to go Lions!

Reminder: Any time children come together, particularly at the start of the school year or when we reconvene from a break, head lice cases commonly increase. Please encourage your child not to share or trade personal items such as hats, combs, brushes, headbands, or barrettes. Direct physical, head to head contact is the usual method of transmission. Lice do not jump, fly, or swim. Please check your child's head and continue to check weekly for lice and/or nits. If lice and/or nits are detected start treatment right away and notify the health clerk. Head lice do not transmit disease and aren't considered a serious medical condition, but they can be a great nuisance.

Have a healthy and safe start to the year!
